This is what dreams are made of! Hilary Duff is set to reprise her star making role based on the Disney Channel original show for the new streaming service, Disney+. Series creator Terri Minsky is set to lead the project, which was announced today at Disney’s D23 Expo.
According to Deadline, the show will follow Lizzie as a 30-year-old New Yorker trying to navigate life in the big city. And before you ask, yes, animated Lizzie (who offers insight into what real Lizzie is really thinking) will absolutely be a major part.
No word on if Lizzie’s best friends, Miranda (Lalaine) and Gordo (Adam Lamberg) will play a role, Duff teased “a lot of exciting surprises on the red carpet.” Anything sounds possible.
We’re just hoping that Kate Sanders (Ashlie Brillault) makes an appearance just so we can get some reads like this classic.
And while no release date has been announced as of yet, Disney+ is set to launch later this year on November 12, with a bunch of titles and shows ready to stream on Day 1, including “Avengers: Endgame.”
